Article by Prof. Ma Tieju at ECUST School of Business Published in Top Managerial Journal -Management Science
 

 

  Recently, an article written by the distinguished Prof. Ma Tieju (ECUST School of Business) has been accepted for publication in Management Science and has already been released online before print in the form of “articles in advance”. Management Science is one of the internationally-recognized top managerial journals. According to literature retrieval, this is the first research article published in Management Science, which was written by Chinese scholar as the first author and listed the domestic research organization as the first correspondent’s affiliation.
  In the article, Prof. Ma Tieju applies a stylized endogenous technological change model to explore and compare three different kinds of stochastic optimization methods dealing with the uncertainties in technological learning. Through his research, Prof. Ma presents two innovative findings, both of which were fully affirmed by the reviewers of Management Science for their academic meaning and value.
  The publication of this article has aroused close attention among domestic peers, and leaders from the Department of Management Science, National Natural Science Foundation in China (NSFC) especially offered congratulations to Prof. Ma on his research finding, and learned about his research progress.
  Prof. Ma was conferred his Doctoral Degree from Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST) in 2003, and worked as a postdoctoral fellow at JAIST from 2003-2004. He worked as a researcher in the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) from 2005-2006, and then as an assistant professor at JAIST. In September 2008, he became a distinguished professor of ECUST School of Business, and embarked on the establishing of his research team under the support of the university and the School of Business. He has obtained numerous grants at national and provincial levels. Prof. Ma’s major research interests focus on technological innovation, knowledge system and the evolution of energy technology systems, and he has published many books as well as 55 research articles in world-renowned journals and international conferences.
