Research interests:Focused on the research and development on novel biomaterial for orthopedic application, injectable biomaterials，bio-mimic design and activation of material for tissue regeneration in situ.

Director of Society of Interdisciplinary Research on Biomaterials, Director of the Committee of Biomaterial under the Chinese Society of Biomedical Engineering, Director of the Committee of the Composite Biomaterials under the Chinese Society of Composite Materials.

Achievements:

Second prize winner of National Science and Technology Progress Award, 2003.Winner of the title of Shanghai Talented Youth in Science and Technology, etc.

Took charge of more than 10 scientific research projects, including National High Technology Research and Development Program “863” project, Key program of National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Outstanding Young Scientist Fund Project, National Trans-century Excellent Talent Fund project under the Ministry of Education etc, and night positive results of them have been tested and appraised. More than 100 Papers have been published, and nighteen invention patents have been applied at home and abroad.
