Achievement:

Prof. Su was chiefly engaged in the research on the theory of liquid-liquid extraction for long time. He improved the extraction technique of ephedrine, citric acid and etc; developed the new process for the multipurpose utilization of magnesiosussexite, phosphate, tungsten nine and etc; modified apparatus such as rotating-disk extraction column, tip extraction machine and vertical pipe reactor; developed the continuous leaching-extraction process and expanded the application field of  multi-phase metathesis. He also coauthored “Industrial Inorganic Chemistry” and “Principle of Chemical Industry” and so on. Prof. Su was elected Member of the Academic Division of Chinese Academy of Sciences (now the Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences ) in 1980.
