Achievements:
    Mr. Wang Jiming is Vice-Chairman of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec Corp.), and a managerial expert in refining, petrochemical industry and engineering. He graduated from the Refining Department of East China Chemical Institute (present-day East China Poly-technical University) in 1964. Wang once served as chairman and president of Shanghai Petrochemical Co., Ltd  (SPC), vice-president of China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and president of Sinopec Corp. In 2005,he was elected as a member of Chinese Academy Engineering.
    With his life-long experience in petrochemical engineering and construction, Wang has created a management philosophy, method and model, which are applicable and suitable for the engineering & construction of refining and petrochemical industry in China. He has called for the promotion of onshore process & technology and equipment. He played a leading role in applying the family technology with self-owned intellectual property to the world-level petrochemical engineering projects. Wang was chief commander and supervisor of SPC 300KTA ethylene engineering and construction project, to which the advanced management concept was applied under his leadership. He presided over Sinopec’s first and second rounds of ethylene revamping and refining upgrading, achieving a track record of building the largest single-site refinery and world-level ethylene cracker within the shortest time and at the lowest cost in the 1990s in China. Wang was bold in applying self-developed ethylene cracking furnace and separation technology in Tianjin ethylene expansion project and other upgrading projects of medium-sized ethylene crackers, which was a great success. He has been promoting Sino-foreign jointly developed and applied large furnace and separation technology. Wang has been actively engaged in organizing the de-bottleneck of onshore production of large and critical equipment, which resulted in the first industrial application of onshore major petrochemical equipment, including cracking gas compressor, propylene and ethylene compressor and hydro-reactor. Wang was also innovative in applying self-developed family technologies to the current major international petrochemical projects.
