Angewandte Chemie Features ECUST Major Advance in Reaction-Diffusion-Controlled Intracellular Molecular Self-Assembly

Recently, Prof. Guo Xuhong and Specially Appointed Researcher Yi-Ming Wang from the School of Chemical Engineering, ECUST achieved a groundbreaking advance in the controlled synthesis of abiotic supramolecular polymers within living cells. Their research article titled “Synthesis of Abiotic Supramolecular Polymers Inside Living Cells via Organocatalysis-Mediated Self-Assembly”, was published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.) and recognized as a Hot Paper.

East China University of Science and Technology is listed as the first corresponding academic affiliation of the article. The article received critical contributions to intracellular diffusion studies from Prof. Li Hui ’s research group (Beijing Normal University). This work was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) and the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission.
