Founded in 1984, Higher Education in Chemical Engineering was approved by the Natinoal Press and Publication Administration, supervised by the Ministry of Education of China, and sponsored by East China University of Science and Technology.
The journal is distributed to administrators, researchers and educators in higher education, and serves as the official publication of the China Chemical Industry Education Association. Publication Identifiers: CN: 31-1043; ISSN: 1000-6168.
This bimonthly journal is indexed in: China Academic Journal Comprehensive Evaluation Database, China Social Sciences Excellence Journal Database, Wanfang Data - Digital Journal Group, and China Core Journal Selection Database.
It was rated as a China Core Academic Journal of Research Center for Chinese Science Evaluation (Grade A) by the China Science Evaluation Research Center of Wuhan University in 2015, and indexed in the Database of the Japan Science and Technology Agency in 2019.
The sections of the Journal include: Higher Education Reform & Development, Discipline & Professional Program Construction, Curriculum Development & Innovation, Experimental & Practical Education, Teaching Reform Experience Exchange, etc.
Since 2020, the journal has been expanded with new sections, specifically: the development of “Double First-Class” Initiative, the development of Emerging Engineering Disciplines, the Accreditation of Engineering Education, Green Engineering Education, Engineering Ethical Education, and Experts’ Perspectives.
