Whether it is welfare economic theory or social welfare practice, it must transcend the framework of capital logic. First, welfare economic theory should adopt an interdisciplinary and integrated perspective, encompassing not only the integration of psychology, sociology, political science, and philosophy, but also the Marxist perspective of historical materialism. This is because modern society, shaped by capitalist civilization, addresses issues of economic development and wealth creation. The economic efficiency of the market economy system is unquestionable, and the vast wealth it generates provides the prerequisite and foundation for addressing welfare issues. However, the ultimate aim of capital logic is not the full realization of human freedom. If we examine human welfare solely from the perspective of capital logic, we will never be able to move beyond its confines. Especially when economic welfare has already been addressed and non-economic welfare needs are increasingly prominent, the Marxist perspective on human society becomes particularly important and urgent.
