The 1st Biennial ESIS-CSIC Conference on Structural Integrity (BECCSI 2025) Held in Belgrade

The inaugural Biennial ESIS-CSIC Conference on Structural Integrity (BECCSI 2025), jointly organized by the China Structural Integrity Consortium (CSIC) and the European Structural Integrity Society (ESIS), was held in Belgrade, Serbia, from November 25th to 28th, 2025. The conference attracted 279 delegates from 29 countries including China, Serbia, Italy, Russia, the United Kingdom, Norway, Japan, Croatia, France, Slovenia, Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Poland, Hungary, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Sweden, and Ukraine.

Professor Tu Shandong from ECUST served as the Chinese Chair of the conference, and Professor Wen Jianfeng served as the Chinese Executive Chair. As an academic event of significant intercontinental influence in the field of structural integrity, this conference also marked the most internationalized edition since the inception of the “Fracture Mechanics/International Symposium on Structural Integrity (FM/ISSI)” series in 2003. The conference focused on building a high-level exchange platform for Chinese and European scholars, presenting rich academic achievements around key topics such as material selection, design, life prediction, structural health monitoring, and integrity assessment for advanced equipment.
