ECUST and Fédération Gay-Lussac Jointly Attend the 2nd China-France Education Development Forum
The 2nd China-France Education Development Forum was held jointly by the Ministry of Education of China and the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Space at Sichuan University on December 5th, 2025. Chinese Minister of Education Huai Jinpeng and French Minister of Higher Education, Research and Space Sylvie Retailleau attended and addressed the forum. On behalf of ECUST, Deputy Party Secretary Shen Haitao attended the forum. Rose-Noëlle Vannie, President of the partner Fédération Gay-Lussac (FGL), was invited to attend and delivered a forum speech on building a future-oriented talent cultivation system to promote sustainable development.

In recent years, cooperation between ECUST and the FGL in the field of engineering talent cultivation has deepened. In November 2025, ECUST President Xuan Fuzhen visited France and signed a cooperation framework agreement with the FGL. The agreement aims to ensure that both Chinese and French sides jointly build a high-level talent cultivation system characterized by “dual degrees, dual cultures, and dual competencies”. Through multi-dimensional deep integration such as faculty and student exchanges, curriculum co-development, and teacher exchanges, it will continuously promote synergistic development in scientific research innovation and industrial practice. This will not only significantly enhance the internationalization level and teaching quality of engineering education but also establish a stable and long-term China-France higher education cooperation platform, holding profound significance for promoting Sino-French scientific, technological, and cultural exchanges.
