Vice President of Mekelle University, Ethiopia, Visits ECUST

Dr. Abdulkadir Kedir, Vice President of Mekelle University, Ethiopia, led a delegation to pay a visit to ECUST on December 4th, 2025. Vice President Yan Haifeng met with the guests at the Yifu Building. At the meeting, the two sides reached multiple consensuses on deepening inter-university cooperation and jointly building a “Belt and Road” International MBA program. Dean Shi Yongsheng of the School of Thinking Education, Dean Haddush Goitom of the School of Technology, and Dean Hailemichael Tesfay of the Business School from Mekelle University were members of the delegation during the visit.

During the talks, the two sides focused on in-depth exchanges regarding the “Belt and Road” International MBA program. They unanimously agreed to promptly initiate faculty and student exchanges and the joint construction of research platforms. They also explored establishing a China-Africa Youth Entrepreneurship Incubation Base in Africa to support the common growth and shared development of Chinese and African youth.
