
Professor Wen Yang Devotes Herself to Talent Cultivation and Industrial Internet Advances
Wen Yang serves as a professor at the School of Information Science and Engineering at ECUST. For more than a decade, she has dedicated herself to education and research. She was selected for the Leadership Program of the 2025 Shanghai Leading Talent Program of Eastern Talent Plan.
Adhering to the mission of cultivating talents for the country, she guides and accompanies young students with passion and perseverance in their growth, fully embodying the spirit of patriotism and hard work.

Principles of Automatic Control is widely recognized as one of the most challenging courses in the curriculum. She simplifies theories with real engineering cases, sorts out tricky mistakes and provides targeted tutoring after class. Her efforts help students lay a solid foundation of knowledge and boost their confidence in the discipline.
Under her guidance, students have won many awards in events like the Challenge Cup and the National University Students Intelligent Car Race. Many of her postgraduate students have received the National Scholarship and the Outstanding Doctoral and Master’s Thesis Awards of the Shanghai Association for Automation, and have gone on to become promising young scholars in their fields.
As a recipient of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scientists and a Shanghai Shuguang Scholar, Professor Yang focuses on information fusion and sensing technologies for the Industrial Internet, and has solved a number of key technical problems. Many research outcomes developed by her team have been applied in enterprises such as China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and State Grid Corporation of China. The intelligent monitoring system for energy storage stations and vessel berthing guidance and monitoring system have been applied to power demonstration stations and smart waterways along the Yangtze River, effectively securing industrial operation.
She always encourages team members to engage in scientific research with dedication and dare to tackle tough challenges. As a core member of the National Huang Danian-style Teacher Team, she has built integrated platforms for research and talent training, promoted cross-disciplinary innovation and accelerated the industrial application of research achievements. Through rigorous scholarship and genuine care for her students, Professor Yang exemplifies the educator’s commitment to fostering both academic excellence and personal growth. Remaining true to her original aspiration of cultivating talent, she continues to guide successive cohorts of students toward success in both research and life.
